Sarawak Cat Show

On December 20, 2008, Catizzadi Khadani Elhurair (Danny) - a 4 month old cream n white boy was shown by his new owner, Mimi from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in a 4-ring CFA Show in Kuching Sarawak.
I am glad that even as a newbie, she groomed and presented Danny so well in the show and managed to final in 3 rings. Congrats, Mimi - way to go with Danny!

4-Ring CFA Show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

On December 14, 2008, there was a 4-ring CFA show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The show was organized by Astaka Management (a commercial company), licensed by CFA to Thailand Cat Fanciers and known as Cat Friends of Asia Show. This is the second time that certain group of people in Malaysia used the loop hole in CFA show rule to organize CFA cat show. They don't need to have a CFA club in order to organize CFA show. What they need was just to have one legal entity (like a commercial company) and seek help from other CFA affiliated club in other country to loan them their CFA Show license... pretty simple. I hope CFA Board will look into this matter seriously if they really want to see our fancy developing harmoniously in this region. One big point that they should know is that - even though we are in the same region (International Division), we are from different countries with different laws, unlike in US.

Anyway, to show my support to all CFA Show, I have shown 3 cats in this show including GrandyJr. That was his first show after recovering from serious eye infection right after coming back from Borneo Show. He had very tough competition from Thailand exhibitors in bicolor class. But he managed to final in all ring and became Best Persian in Show and 2nd Best Cat in Show.

In Kitten Class, I have shown my new boy, Byhishand Ababil of Catizzadi (Billie). He is my joint breeding with Susan Daniels of Byhishand Cattery. Her mother is Catizzadi Muezza Elhurair (Ezza). He is huge and has a ridiculous amount of coat. At 6 month his weight is already 9.5 pounds! I cannot thank you enough Susan for sharing her line with me.

Merdeka Cat Championship

Feline Society of Malaysia had organised a 4-ring show on August 31, 2008 at The Mall, Kuala Lumpur. The show was held in conjunction with Malaysia Independence Day. The judges were Diana Rothermel, Becky Orlando, Wayne Trevathan and Rod U'ren.

It was very unfortunate for me because I cannot show GrandyJr in my homeground show. He had suffered conjunctivitis and corneal ulcer right after coming back from Sabah for the Borneo International Cat Show.

Anyway, I am happy that Catizzadi Khayani Elhurair (Yani) owned by Izyan granded in this show.

Here are the pictures taken during TV Promotion and in the show.

Effi's First Litter

Catizzadi Effreza Elhurair (Effi) is my first litter born in my cattery together with Catizzadi Muezza Elhurair (Ezza - staying with Susan of Byhishand Cattery) and Catizzadi Murezza Elhurair (Molly - staying with Luck Dendee of Lucus Cattery in Thailand) out of Sandy and Chainey.

She is the biggest among the three siblings, big round eyes and very nice head type. I am keeping her as I personally think she would produce nice kittens for me in the future. And it seems that my assessment toward her turn out to be true. She had just delievered her first litter of two kittens with Lisa Light Treasure (red tabby boy). A calico girl and red tabby (classic) & white girl - both of them have a very nice coat color.

I am so excited to see how these two kittens develop. They are huge with big head and show lots of potential. I hope they will continue to develop nicely.

These are their pictures at the age of 2 weeks.

Borneo International Cat Show

Borneo Cat Club had organised their first CFA Show with 4-ring in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on August 23/24. It was considered as the first CFA show ever held in Borneo Island. The judges that were honored to judge in this show were Becky Orlando, Diana Rothermel, Wayne Trevathan and Rod U'ren (guest judge from Australia). I was glad that Feline Society of Malaysia was involved directly in assisting Ben Hsu (the president of Borneo Cat Club) to organise the show. Almost all of our committee members were involved directly with the planning and managing the show. I was so pleased with the courage and committment showed by Ben Hsu to explore and advance CFA in this new region. The initiative taken by him to organise the show had sparked the interest of Sabah & Sarawak Government to be involved directly with the show and to organise more CFA show in Borneo area in the future.

The show was very well advertised and publicised in the local magazine and newspaper few weeks before the show. The show hall was beautiful and nicely set up. Thanks to all BCC & FSM committee members and Hills' crews who had worked until midnight to finish up the hall set up.

Eventhough that was the first show for BCC, the cat entry from foreign exhibitors was very overwhelming. It managed to attract more than 100 cats in total and about 70% was from foreign entry. A big salute to Ben Hsu for his hospitality as he alone managed all the foreign participants and did the clearance for all the cats that entered Sabah. It's a regulation for Sabah Department of Veterinary Services that all cats from most of the countries need to be quarantine for at least one month. Fortunately we managed to get the quarantine waiver from the authority (based on FSM experience) for all cats entered for the show.

GrandyJr : One Show (2 ring) Grand!!

On July 26/27, 2008 GrandyJr was shown in Hong Kong at the age of 10 month. It was a 6-ring show organised by Hong Kong Cat Lovers Society.

I was so worried because few days before the show I've used wrong shampoo on him. Chris-Christensen (White On White) is quite a good product. It works well with my other bicolor cats. I never used it on Grandy since I like to use All System Whitening & Brightening Shampoo on him. I don't know why I wanted to try it on GrandyJr few days before the show. It's my own mistake:( And the effect - the purplish color from the shampoo got really trapped/stucked within his coat. Obviously his coat texture is not suitable for that shampoo. And the worst part was I didn't have enough time to wash out the purplish effect on his coat. I can only wish and pray for the best in the show.

And surprisingly he still did well in the show and managed to grand only in 2 rings!

He is now GC Rhamjoge Grand Royale of Catizzadi.

GrandyJr : A Resemblance Of His Father

As he got older, GrandyJr continued to develop very well. His breeder had told me earlier that she's confident that GrandyJr would develop pretty much like his father.

And when I sent all these pictures of GrandyJr (at the age of 9 month) to his breeder, Rhonda said that he really developed just like what she expected him to be.

GrandyJr : First Show As An Open

At the age of 8 month, GrandyJr entered a 2-ring show in Johor Bharu. The show was the first CFA show organised by FSM in the southern part of Malaysia which was known as IOI Mall International Cat Show. The judges were David Mare and Betty Denny. GrandyJr was made Best Cat in David's ring and 2nd Best Cat in Betty's ring.

And he became the highest scoring cat in the show as an open!

Izyan was helping me to show GrandyJr in Kulai, Johor.

Thank you Izyan!

One week later, FSM held another 2-ring show in Kuala Lumpur. The judges were Yayoi Satoh and David Mare. And again GandyJr was made Best Cat in David's ring and 5th Best Cat in Yayoi's ring. With these two consecutive shows, GrandyJr collected 4 winner ribbon and became a CH.

Rhamjoge Grand Royale of Catizzadi

I am indeed speechless and so happy when Rhonda entrusted me with the best kitten of Grandy's first litter. He is red and white boy. His name is Rhamjoge Grand Royale of Catizzadi and I call him "GrandyJr". He reached my home at the age of 4 month. My first impression when I met him was... WOW! He melts me with his big round eyes just like his father. I just can't believe to have him in my cattery.... like a dream come true.

A week later I brought him to our 2 ring show in Kuala Lumpur on January 26/27, 2008. And he did very well in the show even though he was just 4 month old kitten. Barbara Sumner made him 5th Best Kitten in her ring. He stunned everybody with his eyes!!

I hope as he get older he will continue to develop well and grow to become like his father :)
